On March 15, Campus Architect
John Califf submitted notice of his
resignation from the post he has
held since fall, 1972, effective April
30.
Although Califf was reticent as to
why he resigned, and all others
contacted expressed both surprise
and regret toward his decision, The

been favored over Califf insofar as
both their plans conflicted. Webel
is an internationally recognized
landscaper and carries more
weight than Califf."
Although Califf had nothing to do
with formulating plans for Gibbes
