Tuesday
From his days as a guitarist.
writer and producer of Jazz.
Rundgren's musical career has
been a concerted search for
something more. It was from here -
that he began a massive self
education effort into the areas of
music.
The culmination of this self
education was the double album.
"Something-Anything. initially
released in 1972 and now back on
the charts sparked by the success
of "Hello It's Me." For the
album's first three sides. lund
gren wrote, played and produced
every note, every vocal and every
backing tune.
The first musical reflection of a
higher consciousness was his
fourth album. "A Wizard-True
Star." referring not to himself but
to a 'greater good.' a more
nearly realized means of commun
ication and a lasting piece of
mind.
