Women's Tennis
Kitty Parrot begins her first year
as head coach of USC's women's
tennis team optimistically hoping
her netters can defend their State
Championship.
Although the season doesn't
begin until March 1, the women's
team is already practicing in hopes
of bettering last year's 9-1 record.
Twelve girls comprise the team.

squads. Six girls return from last
year's championship team to boost
the Gamecocks' chance of success.

State Invitational to begin their

ception of Furman," said Parrot.
"Our "A" squad is very talented
and very solid down the line.
The team's goal is to make a
good showing in the out-of-state
tournaments and beat Furman.
The women's tennis team will play
