The USC Belle W. Baruch
Coastal Research Institute has
named G. Stuart Ballard of
Pawley's Island resident manager
of its new marine field laboratory
near Georgetown.
Ballard will be in charge of the
new laboratory's operations and
will coordinate research studies
involving the marshes and
estuaries and coastal waters,
according to Dr. F. John Vernberg,
director of the Institute which is on
the USC main campus in Colum
bia.
