A fund-raising bike-a-thon-for the
American. Cancer Society wil be
held on Saturday, November. 10th
from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The bike-a-thon, sponsored
jointly by the Inter-Fraternity
Council (IFC) and the Panhellinic
Council, is open to all students.
Each participant will obtain
sponsors to pledge a specified
amount of money for each mile he
travels. There is no limit to the

A bill to provide nore voting
locations for off-campus students
has been passed by the Student
Senate. According to Alan
Lawhead, chairnitn of off-campus
student affairs committee, it was
done to give students who live off
campus a stronger voice in the
student government.
"Approximately 67 percent of
the students at USC live off
campus and in the last election,
only four percent voted. We drew
up this bill so that we would be able
to increase the accountability of
the Student Government."
Lawhead said another reason for
the bill was to add more areas
where a student could vote. "Until
this time, there were only two
places where off-campus students
could vote. They had to vote with
the fraternities in the RussellHouse
or had to go to the Coliseum. With
