Polling Places
Set; Elections On
For Monday
Nine polling places have been set
up by the student elections com
mission for the upcoming Oct. 8
student government elections.
The first election run-off will be
Oct. 10, and should a second run-off
be needed it will be held Oct. 12.
Polling places for both primary
and run-off elections will be:
Coliseum, Bates House, Russell
House, Towers Complex, South
Building, Capstone, Preston, The
Roost and the new Law Center.
C-Fest Tryouts
Held Tonight
For Competition
Preliminary ,tryouts for this
year's Cockfest will be held tonight
at 7 o'clock in Room 310 of the
Russell House.
The show, in its third year, is
produced and directed by Pi Kappa
Phi fraternity and WUSC-AM.
The Cockfest is an annual
combination pep rally and
Homecoming show which features
organizational skits, homecoming
beauties, the USC Marching Band
and a fireworks display. Also
included in the program will be
characters and features such as
the Blue Grass Band from
Carowinds.
This production will be presented
Thursday, October 18, at 7 p.m. at
Williams-Brice Stadium.
This year's theme will be "Once
Upon a Time in Carolina" and the
skits will be based on a fairy tale
format. The organization
presenting the best skit will be
awarded $300, second prize is $200
and third is $100, the other three
skits in the program will receive
$25 each.
