Man Tried
In McBryde
Burglaries.
A suspect identified as James
Jerome Gibson, a custodian at the
Coliseum, was tried in City
Recorder's Court last week on two
counts of theft from two Carolina
boarding students, according to
Security Director George Key.
Key said the court ordered
Gibson' to pay a $105 fine or be
imprisoned for 30 days on each
count. * He also was directed to
reimburse each of the students the
amount of cash he had stolen from
their rooms while they were
sleeping. Key said his department
also recovered a wristwatch and a
camera.
The thefts occured last Saturday
morning. They were but two of six
victims of wallet thefts while
asleep in their rooms, all occuring
the same day.
