As far as university of ficials are concerned, however, the practice is not only legal, but just and proper. On August 11, President Jones announced that a $io,ooo bill to the university from Cook-Reuf Associates, a Columbia public relations firm, would be paid by funds generated from the operation of the Campus Shop.
