But according to Dr. Bill Caldwell, assistant head of the math department, the deci sion of who went was made "un fairly and with prejudice." "On the morning of May 9, Dr. (James R.) Durig, who Is dean of the College of Math and Science, called Dr. Wahab in and informed him that as of July 1 he would no longer be depart .ment head and that the computer science and math departments would be combining. After this combination, the head of the new department would be Dr. Bill Eccles, head of computer science," Dr. Caldwell said.
