Recently there have been at I two movies, "A Man For Seasons" and "Anne of a Thouj Days", in which the Tudor king a prominent role. The much c4 rated BBC series, "The Six A of Henry the Eighth" chroni Henry and his machinatioi divest himself of one wife and another and another and... I suppose that it was simply a ter of time before rock music up the slack. Rick Wakeman of the Yes has duced an album entitled "The Wives of Henry VIII" utilizing about every keyboard instrur known to man. And well done it is. The highlight of Spring Thing will be a concert at Township Auditorium tomorrow night which will feature Brewer and Shipley, Jimmie Spheeris and Silverman. Brewer and Shipley sprung into prominence with the hit "One Toke Over The Line", a song that resounded from AM radio for months. Wives Eloq Wakeman also does not let the rock form get away from him either. While it is clearly the branch of music upon which his builds this album, he never lets it overshadow his real intent, that of painting the portraits of the wives. As with all albums there~ are per sonally favored cuts. On this one, I teeter between Anny Boleyn and Catherine Howard. The Catherine Howard cut G perhaps has the best development H of theme. One can see the young ti queen frolocking in the halls and ci laughing. te Wakeman said on the jacket that the album was based on his A interpretations of the musical cl characteristics of each of the A queens in relation to the keyboard tc instruments and not necessarily the historical facts of the wives. A However, isn't that what music is st about? Jimmie left and hit the Haight shbury scene where he "got real rung out on drugs and stuff."
