Special to the Gamecock
Editor's Note: When the National
Socialist Fourth World Order first
organized on campus-last fall The
Gamecock attempted to find out what
kind of group it was. Several letters
to the editor written under the
pseudonym R. Linton Admiral were
printed until the pseudonym was disco
vered. Also a letter supporting
Admiral's ideas was printed and was
signed by several supposed studen
- ts--who likewise turned out to be non
existant.
To get a true picture of the people
involved and the extent of support
which this group enjoys, a member of
the Gamecock staff, Barbara Murray,
joined the group, was interviewed by
its "leaders" and filed the following
story explaining the structure and
philosophy of this "organization." We
feel that facts should speak for them
selves.
To protect the members of the group
from any recriminations, names will
be excluded except for the leader
whom we will call David. This is not
any effort on the part of the Gamecock
to further any "cause" for the group,
but since it has come to our attention
that David was forced out of the Naval
ROTC program at USC for his political
views, we do not wish to put his
academic career in further jeopardy.
The National Socialist Fourth World
Order (NSFWO) has gone underg
round.
At the beginning of the spring
semester this group was actively seek
ing support, new members and an
interest in their cause among students
and faculty at USC. Notices were hung
on campus walls, but were soon there
after torn down, according to the
group's leader.
After this initial campus reaction
David decided that it was too soon for
the group to operate in the open. While
the organization is underground, the
usually strict rules that govern the
members are relaxed.

VWember Campu,
At present there are nine members
on the USC campus, plus a few addi
tional members in New York City. The
group is also trying to form a chapter
in Florida. Outside its regular mem
bership, the NSFWO has several party
sympathizers, among them a member
of the USC faculty, a Columbia disc
jockey and several Columbia busines
smen. Also David said his group is
interviewing a State Law Enforcement
Division (SLED) officer who is
interested in supporting the group,
though not officially.
The purpose of the group can be
found in the party oath to which all
its members must subscribe: "We
stand for the combatting of the World
Communist Conspiracy, the preserva
tion of the Caucasian Culture and the
creation of a strong, central govern
ment with a controlled economy."
David and his group say there are
many things wrong in this country that
are a direct result of the World Com
munist Conspiracy. For example they
believe that many of the race riots and
other racial problems in the United
States have been instigated by this
"conspiracy." Although claiming that
they are not against the black race,
David said he did not want to see
"White Slavery" and that he believed
militant and radical blacks would not
stop until they had accomplished that
end. David added that he had been
threatened by a "militant black group"
on campus.
The group also believes that the head
of the country should have absolute
control and authority. Such -a man
would, of course, be qualified for the
job, since the NSFWO believes in gov
ernment by the elite. Only those with
the skill and intellect to rule would gov
ern.
The general structure of the party
calls for a Leader or Furher, and a
Deputy Leader. Under these two men
are the various ministries, such as the
Ministry of Economics, the Ministry
of Transportation, The Ministry of
Propaganda and the Ministry of Milit
ary Affairs. These ministers are
directly responsible to the Leader and
Deputy Leader and David said they
know only what is necessary for them
to know about the other departments.

Each minister is also in charge of
his "party cell," similar to the idea of
the communist party cell. The mem
bers of each cell take their orders from
their particular leader and are directly
responsible to him.
Each member is given a rank. Each
person starts at the bottom with the
chance to work up to higher levels, but
is not permitted to go any further than
his abilities indicate. New members
are required to follow a code of pro
tocols. They must refer to all officers
by title and or rank, they must stand
when an officer enters the room and
must salute all officers at designated
times. The salute consists of standing
at attention with the right arm
extended. All orders are expected to
be carried out without question. It is
however, possible to question orders
or other actions, by filling out a form
and submitting it for review to the
Deputy Leader.
Members are required to wear
uniforms. This uniform consists of a
gray shirt, black bell-bottom pants,
black shoes and a black tie. A black
armband, which is provided by the
party, must be worn on the left sleeve.
Collar tabs, designating rank, are also
to be worn. At present, there is no
women's uniform, since there have
been no female members. The
women's uniform will consist of a gray
shirt, black skirt and black shoes,
according to the Deputy Leader. The
black armband and collar tabs are also
mandatory for women. The black
armband has a silver triangle on it, the
party symbol. The triangle was chosen
because it is the strongest geometric
figure.
New members have no real duties,
but are required to keep political con
tacts to a minimum and are expected
to recruit members on a one-to-one
basis.
Members are, however, required to
attend meetings when the party is in
the open. Uniforms are to be worn at
these meetings. Sympathizers do not
have to attend these meetings, since
it might endanger their positions to be
identified with the NSFWO.
While the NSFWO is recruiting

members, they screen all prospects
carefully to ensure that they are con
cerned for the good of the country and
the party. This consists of interviews
with the three men who are currently
the chief officers in the organization.
They have also a somewhat lengthy
questionaire designed to let them know
your opinions about national and inter
national problems. You must also
explain why you wish to become a
member. After deliberation, you are
told of your acceptance or rejection.
In the words of the Leader, "We would
rather have just a few good people,"
rather than a lot of people who woul
dn't accomplish anything.
