Offense (From page 9) "We were working on the drop back offense but we were losing games," said Dietzel. "It's not so much I like winning, but I despise losing. "Dobby can do things with the men we have now, we're not going back to the offense we were attempting before, we're just not going to do it,"' said Dietzel. "Now we can run the ball and throw passes off the runs." Unfortunately for Troup, Diet zel's reluctance to return to the drop-back offense would have to make his future shakey at best. A drop-back offense could conciev ably win with Troup, as his passing talent would have its best opportun-' ity then, but the 6-4 quartrback lacks the mobility ot direct a rollout attack and so it would seem his potential would be cut back immensely. Although Troup appears to be the loser in the switching of offensive attacks, the team itself would seem to prosper greatly. Grossman's roll out theatrics have paced Carolina to succesive victories over Memphis tate and ASU Grossman scrambled for 36 yards in just seven carries, includ ing some key first down jaunts, and passed for six completions in 11 attempts for 133 yards and two touchdowns against ASU. Gros sman has now passed for five touchdowns in his two games. "I can run," said Grossman, "If the opponents have the recievers covered or the line breaks down, I can scramble and we still have a chance .to escape allright. I've got confidence in our team; we're play ing better now.". Grossman continued, "A lot of success is because of a fine receiever named Mike Haggard. When I put the ball in the back's stomach and pull it back out and Mike's' wide open it's an easy touchdown." Grossman and Haggard com bined for two touchdowns in the game, making their touchdown total five scores for two contests. Pil Studeni TUES 5 P.M.
