just took all the green poles, the
Cata-poles, said they were illegal
and said that the black poles were 0 1
all right.
"An interesting sidelight to all of
this is that the day before, Tuesday,
the IAAF Congress approved Seag
ren's record vault which he did with
the Cata-pole. They allowed him to
have the world record but didn't
allow him to use the pole in their
own world championship."
