Student Government is currently sponsoring a petition drive on campus asking City Council to delay the widening of Pickens until further studies are made con cerning alternate routes and student opinion is adequately evaluated. "We need 14,000 student signatures on this petition."he said. He added that he will also speak to various campus organizations, informing them of the con sequences of widening Pickens and asking for their support of his position.
