Kris Kristofferson and as special
guest star, his "old Lady," Rita
Collidge will perform at the
Coliseum a week from Friday.
Kristofferson, is to say the least,
a talented songwriter although he
himself says "God, I sing like a
frog." He has penned such songs as
"Me and Bobby McGee", "Sunday
Morning, Comin' Down," and "For
the Good Times." These songs
have been recorded by such
musical types as Janis Joplin and
Johnny Cash.

be an effective way to plug his
songs, but he packs them in at the
Troubadour in L. A. and turns
them away from the Cellar Door in
D. C. "I don't consider myself a
performer. I still can't go up there
sober."
Kristofferson started out his life
a super-straight. He was an Air
Force brat, excelled at his studies,
played football, and boxed Golden I
Gloves. He was graduated from I
Pomona College and won a Rhodes
Scholarship which took him to I
Oxford.
