their places on the Peep Show shelves, but the
majority of the books and magazines offer
much more open views of the human body and
the various activities that can be performed
when two or more of these bodies happen to be
close together.
Practically all of the magazines are enclosed
in plastic, so that the prospective customer
may gaze at the cover only, which generally
offers more to the erotic and-or horny eye than
the inside pages.
Funny thing about these places. With the
exception of occasional heavy breathing, you
can cut the silence with a knife. Visitors look,
but are careful to make you think that they
really aren't looking. They just happened to
stumble in here, thinking it was Woolworth's.
In addition to books, magazines and a mini
theater in the rear of the store, the Assembly
Street shop offers stimulators and other
"personal" objects, some of which seem a little
too awkward to fit anywhere on modern man or
woman.
For the societal perverts not interested in
sex, the Peep Show has pinball machines
available along one wall. They seem to suffer
from inactivity.
The Devine Street store is just getting on its
feet, and arms and legs and other things. It is
more spacious than the other store, but seems
emptier since all the books aren't on display as
yet.
It seems rather obvious that Gerald Matheny
is not through with the pornography business.
And John Foard is obviously not through with
Gerald Matheny. And one must feel sorry for
the innocent children whose fragile minds hang
in the balance.
