total of 145. Ramsey survived
strong winds on the tight Hamptor
Country Club course in posting a
two under par 69 on the final day as
USC overlook opening day leader

Southern this weekend, winning 1-0
on Friday and dropping the second
affair Saturday 6-4.
The Gamecocks, with a record of
16-12, face Appalachian State
today and tomorrow in a pair of
3:00 games to be played at Rex
Enright Athletic Center.
Freshman Hank Small procured
a hit in both weekend games,
gaining a bloop single in the win
and going 4-b including a booming
homerun in the losing effort, to
stretch his hitting streak to 17
games.
