Where do used, unwanted

Most of them go back to
the bookstore and then are
sold to other students.
This spring the Co-op
book exchange, sponsored
by the Student Government,
hopes to eliminate one of
the steps and make it easier
for students to sell the books
to fellow students.

Barney Oliver, chairman
of the Co-op book ex
change, said that the ad
ministration considers used
books too much trouble, so
students 6 have taken the
initiative. "We want to help
the student economically. If
everyone will just hold on to
their books, they might be
able to sell them to students
and get their own books for
less money than it would
cost at one of the
bookstores."
Oliver said that the book
exchange was just trying to
eliminate some of the
confusion this year and.
supply a program to benefit
students. "We are not
physically able to handle
the books but we hope that
eventually we will be able to
set up a Co-op bookstore,
which would be run by
students," Oliver said.
