Baha'i: The University of South Carolina Baha'i club will hold its second of weekly' meetings in Room 309 Russell House Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Ms. John Williams will give a short talk on Baha'i Fund Distribution, and a rap session will follow. The purpose of the club is to promote the teachings of Baha'u'llah, the founder of the faith. Some of his principles in clude the belief in one God, the oneness of mankind, independent investigation of truth, one foun dation for all religions, the har mony of science and retigion, equality of men and women, elimination of prejudices, universal compulsory education, spiritual solutions to the economic problems, a universal language, and a world government. CHECK CASHING The University Treasurer's office has announced cut-off dates for cashing personal checks at the Student Depository for this semester. The last day that a personal out of-state check can be cashed will be Monday, December 6. The depository will resume cashing personal checks after Spring semester registration January 14-15, 1972. FEDERAL JOBS Applications are now open for a limited number of summer jobs in federal agencies. The jobs will be primarily in four categories, many of which do not require passage of an examination. Information letters on available jobs and applications should be directed to Summer Employment, U. S. Civil Service Commission, 1900 E. Street, N. W., Washington, D. C. 20415. There are a variety of summer jobs open including laborers' jobs through clerical and professional assignments. Tests, where required, will be given Jan. 8, Feb. 12, and March 11, 1972, in several South Carolina cities. Applications received after Feb. 2, 1972, will not be accepted for consideration of next summer's employment.
