Air Society
initiates new
members
Arnold Air Society (AAS) and
Angel Flight held initiation
ceremonies Monday night at the
Fort Jackson Officers' Club.
Fourteen Air Force ROTC
cadbts were initiated into the
William Farrow Squadron of AAS
including Richard Acree, Walt
Bagnal, Joe Comeaux, Charles
Davis, John Dieterman, Joe
Griffin and Charles McKeown.
Also, Bob Meter, Mike Munden,
Robert Owens, Jim Stewart, Yon
Suber, Mike West and Bill.y!,
Wooley.
Initiation ceremonies were
preceeded by a steak dinner at
tended by all active AAS and
Angel Flight members.
Richard Neidhardt, vice
chairman of the S. C. Eye Bank,
spoke on the Commission's work
for the blind and the importance of
eye bank donations.
Cadet Major Jim Hodges, AAS
commander, assisted by other
Society officers, led initiation
ceremonies which were followed
by the induction of 17 coeds into
Angel Flight.
The William Farrow Squadron at
USC formed in 1955, is named for
Lt. William Farrow, a USC
alumnus who participated in the
Doolittle Raid on Tokyo in 1942 and
later was captured and executed.

Carolina Draft Information
Service has closed its operation at
St. Peter's Church and hopes to
establish 9ffices in the Russell
House.
Services being offered now to
students from 7 to 10 p.m. on
Tuesday and Thursday nights.
Organization representatives said
they have no permanent Russell
House office yet.
Those desiring draft information
services should inquire at the
Second Floor Information Desk in
the Russell House for the Center's
location.
Tim Hardy, draft counseling
center vice president said the
Center offered free information,
literature and counseling.
He said the service hoped to
obtain suport from Student
Government and establish a
permanent office in Russell House.
The organization said they hadi
been counseling servicemen andi
students at the St. Peter's Churchi
offices.
Counselling will continue at the
Center's new location, 2301 Lee St.
The St. Peter's office was closed
because its distance from campus
made it inconvenient for students
to seek advice.
"We hope that USC students will
handle most of the student coun
selling so that some of us can spend
more time with the servicemen," a
counsellor said.
