In Georgia Day care center seeks volunteers The Camp Fornance Day Care Center needs volunteers. Persons from school age to adulthood are in need of help. Volunteers to help as teachers aides, tutors, recreation helpers (swimming Instructor, etc.) are sought at Andrew Jackson Vocational Rehabilitation Center. Students range in chronological age from 11 years up and their mental age is classified as educable mentally retarded. Many retarded children at Babcock Center need help also. Recreation and teacher aides and cub scout leaders are sought. E. L. Wright Middle School is in need of volunteers to help in their reading program ( developmental, correc tional and remedial). Bethlehem Community Center offers an opportunity each weekday morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon to work with pre-school children in their day care programs. Af ternoons at the center enable volunteers to work and In teract with neighborhood children from first grade to high school age. Other opportunities are available. Students are invited to help in archaeological excavations in England next summer. Deadline for applications if Febr. 1. City center redevelopment, new road-building programs and rapidly changing land use are threatening prehistoric graves, Iron-age settlements, Roman villas and fascinating relics of medieval towns in Britian. American students free from mid-May, with previous ar chaeological experience, are sought to join an international team on a dig of the important Roman and Medieval city of Exeter in Devon where the 1972 excavation hopes to find a Roman temple under the site of an Anglo Saxon Church. Experienced helpers will receive free board for helping in this important work. Students lacking experience are invited to join the British Ar chaeology Seminar at Lincoln College, Oxford, organized by the Association for Cultural Ex change. Six academic credits can be earned from participating in this low-cost program which ends by three weeks' participation on digs in different parts of England and Scotland. These include the Association's own mesolithic dig on the island of Oronsay in the Hebrides which this summer was visited by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Princess Anne.
