The 66,000 square foot structure contains PE facilities, 28 offices, two laboratories and three classrooms for instruction In a variety of physical education subjects. Ground floor facilities include three handball courts, one squash court, three dance studios, archery and golf rooms, three general classrooms and three multi-purpose classrooms. *......-...... Faculty offices and general secretarial space are located there, also. The center currently conducts a program aimed at student convenience and improved sanitary con ditions in the locker-shower rooms. For $10 a semester a student will be issued a locker, combination lock, shorts, shirt, socks and supporter. Clothing may be exchanged for a clean set. Dr. Warren Giese, PE department director, said, "I think we have shifted from having one of the worst facilities east of the Mississippi to one of the best. begin daily twer out . - Pherupg,uW non. ities Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Reservations for handball. or squash courts may be made by calling 3831 daily. Athletic equipment may be checked out from the equipment issue depart ment located on the ground floor. A student ID is required. Giese said plans exist to expand the complex. A 155' x 75' swimming pool and additional gymnasium space are planned.
