The thira Atlantic C0mast Karate
Championships will be held
tomorrow at the mariner's Club on
1-26, St. Andrews Road exit.
Eliminations will begin at 9:30
a.m. with final competition
beginning at 8 p.m.
Tournament tickets will be on
sale today in the Russell House.
Special student prices are $1.50
general admission and $2.75 for
reserved seats.
A table will be set up by the
University Union Recreation
Committee, who also will sponsor a
karate demonstration today in
front of the Russell House.
Karate experts from around the
East Coast will compete in White
Belt, Green Belt, Brown Belt and

the basis of good form and balance,
proper distance and explosive but
controlled force to a completely
unprotected vital area of the op
ponent's body. The blow must be
undeflected or unblocked.
. A contestant wins when scoring
at least two points against . an
opponent in three minutes or less.
If no points are scored in that time,
the match goes into "sudden
death," where the first contestant
to score two points wins.
A seven-foot Grand Cham
pionship trophy will be presented
by Barkoot's Karate School and
the Shriners' Club.

Engineer G. T. Perry said. "Of
course, any difficulties found will
have to be corrected, but we hope

Woodrow government were stolen
recently from the Preston lobby.
According to Vic Rawls, resident
advisor, a 3-seat sofa, two 2-seat
sofas, two end tables and a circular
coffee table were stolen sometime
between 2 and'6 a.m. Labor day.
