when your hitting isn't very con

Richardson was well pleased
with this day's hitting. Choate has
started his hitting off well with a
.500) day and Butch Anderson
continued his consistency of late
with three hits in five trips to the
plate.
Anderson reflected the days
feelings after the games with
thoughts of Kleinknecht. "He's the
favorite around here, and we were
really glad to see him hit that home
run. He has it real tough playing
behind Huddy <Caldwell ."
Kleinknecht "didn't see the ball
go over the fence until I passed
second" but his teammates did,
and he was greeted by a mob when
he crossed home plate.
Larry Erbaugh added a fourth
win to his tnbeaten slate and gave
up only four hits and t wo unearned
runs. George Beam had one of his
wilder days, hitting four batters,
but struck out nine and allowed
only a single hit.
