The Science Today Short Course
will meet for the first time Monday
at :1:45 in room 102 Physical
Science Building. This first course
meeting will include a discussion
of the topics for the semester and a
discussion of the eclipse last
spring.
This course features discussion
groups led by Dr. Safko of the
Physics Department. These
groups will cover such topics as
astronomy and the space program.
The format of the course will in
clude films such as of the solar
eclipse and the discovery of a
planet. slides from the Apollo
moon walk, and practical
demonstrations of principles of
optics and the use of a laser.
Guests will be invited to speak on
topics related to their fields of
interest.
