Book
A book exchange has been
set up on the second floor of
the Russell House to aid
students in buying and
selling books.
The exchange. is a
clearing house of in
formation and does not
physically handle the books
or cash. Bulletin boards
have been set up to list by
department books for sale
and books wanted. The
actual transaction is made
between the buyer and
seller.
The book exchange is
being sponsored by Student
Government, WUSC and
The Gamecock.
-Posters announcing the
establishment of the book
exchange were posted in the
Russell House and the
Coliseum yesterday
morning. Several em
ployees of the Campus Shop
removed posters on the
exterior entrance to the
store. Russell House policy
dictates that posters cannot
be exhibited on the exterior
of the building or on a.door.
Posters are limited to
bulletin boards. The
,Campus Shop and the book
exchange were both In
violation of the rule by
using the doorway for
display purposes.
Under the orders of the
Division of Business Affairs
all posters in.the Coliseum
were removed by the
campus police. A
spokesman for 'the ad
ministration said that the
only place in the Coliseum
available for posting are the
bulletin boards on the
academic level of the
building.
