"'TWa federal government Is
funding 5 rohabitation programs
for undergraduates across the
country in an attempt to meet the
critical shortage of personnel in
rehabilitation jobs," USC
Education Professor Philip Mc
Carty said.
Each week the class makes on
location studies which include
visits to the Easter Seal
Rehabilitation Center, the William
S. Hall Institute, the Department
of Juvenile Corrections and the
Midlands Center. After each visit,
McCarty lectures and has class
discussions on the problems en
countered at the agencies.
A second part of the program is
an "experience course" where the
students spend four hours in "lab
work" per week, working in one
agency of their choice.

The NC State mascot will be
absent for a few games. Someone
stole the wolf suit that cheerleader
Dick Scott wears as the schools'
mascot. Scott is desperate to get it
back as the cost of replacing it will
be nearly $400 dollars. He even
promised to let the pranksters who
ripped the suit off use it for
Halloween if they would just return
it in time for the next football
game.
