Ave<t Chicken, students, music, potato salad and a smattering of administrators were the landmarks of the University Union's annual Bell Camp Day Sunday. Nearly 400 students converged on the university's recreation facility to take advantage of the free chicken dinner "with all the trimmings" and other inducements. Many went swimming, played ping-pong, or miniature golf, but the majority of the students sat on the grass in front of the lodge and listened to the folk music of Tammy Hall, and later the sounds of Wildfire. Several administrators and faculty members made the scene to mingle with students and enjoy the surroundings. President Thomas F. Jones was scheduled to make a visit. The Bell Camp facilities include the lodge, camping places, cabins and woods. All facilities are available to students or student organizations with only a modest charge. The facilities are open during the entire year and may be reserved through the University Union. - Story and pictures by Chuck Keefer, photo editor. .... ........
