The Demon Deacons have beaten nationally-ranked North Carolina twice, once by one point in Chapel Hill and then again at Winston Salem, this time by five points. Sandwiched between the two wins over UNC was a one-point win over the Davidson Wildcats. Center Dan Ackley got a three point play in the closing seconds to topple the Wildcats.
