Choir se
Christmas Concerts will be
presented by the USC oratorio
Choir tomorrow and Dec. 16. The
Choir will perform at the South
Carolina State Hospital tomorrow
at 5:15 p.m. Two concerts are
scheduled for Dec. 16. The first will
be given at the Correctional In
stitute. Manning, S.C., at 5:15
p.m., and the second will be for the
Muscular Distrophy Association at
the American Legion Hut,
Columbia, at 7:30 p.m.

psycholinesis--the process by
which one affects his physical
environment. Examples of
psychokineses are a man's clock
stopping when he dies or a vase, a
marriage present, cracking when
the marriage ends. A reception
will follow the lecture.
TOYS FOR TOTS
A $1,500 goal has been set by.the
Mens' Towers government in its
"Toys for Tots" fund-raising drive.
The donations will be used to buy
toys for underprivileged children
in Columbia. The drive will end
this Fridav.

competition sponsred" by the
Steling Silversmiths Guild of
Amerie--i on display beginning
tenerrow throgh next Friday at
the University Museum.
The work is even more out
standing if contrasted with
traditional sterling teap"ts of l8th
Century English silver from the
Bernard M. Baruch collection--on
permanent display at the museum.
The Baruch bullet or skittle ball
teapots were made in Edinburgh,
Scotland, one in 1727 and the other
in 1730.

The contemporary work is by
John M. Church of the Cranbrook
Academy of Art in Michigin.
It and the 10 other winners will
be on display as soon as one
problem is solved--someone gets
the combination to the padlock on
the shipping crate for the collec
tion or breaks the lock.
The winners include such
diverse items as a sterling silver
chess set and a baby rattle made of
plexiglass and silver.
During the displpy. the museum
-on the second floor of the War
Memorial Building on the corner of
Sumter and Pendleton streets--will
he open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
