Music festival
USC's Universal Life Religious Association will
present "The Music Experience" Dec. 14 in the
Russell House cafeteria from 7:30 p.m. to I a.m.
Admission is $1.
The program, designed to raise money for the
Ridgeville-Four Holes Freedom School Project, will
feature "Wildfire," "Freedom," "The Columbians,"
"Dawn" and "Julius Co6b."
"Wildfire" specializes in "progressive rock," while
"Freedom" plays hard rock and "Dawn" an Aiken
group, calls its music "the heavy electric sound."
All groups are volunteering their services. Also
volunteering are Woody Windham, of WCOS radio
and Perece Elley of WOIC radio. Windham and Elley
will serve as masters of ceremonies.

If all goes well, a dream for the
Wheeler Hill Community will come
true Dec. 14.
On that day, the Wheeler Hill
Community Center will open.
Located at the corner of Rice and
Pickens, across the street from
LaPorte's market, the center was
built with funds supplied by the
Metropolitan Education Foun
dation.
Louis James, a formerUSC
student and now director of the
project, said this project is a new
concept. "for in this project people
plan what they want."
