The t e a m defeated Winthrop College 49.5 to :36.2. Sue Brook out of Carolina took first place in the floor exercise and on the uneven parallel b a r s. C a r 1 a Huntley won first place honors on the beam and in vaulting. Also at the Winthrop meet Betty Buck took second place in Beam The Blossom Shop ~i< llISTSN Devine and Saluda FIVE POINTS Exercise Compete the floor exercise and Sue Brook out took a second place on the beam and in vaulting. Lafaye Moore took third places in the floor exercises, on the beam and on the uneven parallel bars. T h e Gamecock gymnasts de. feated Furman 48 to 43.2 and Sue Brookout led the team again with first places on the uneven parallel bars and in vaulting. She also captured two second places on the balanced beam and in the floor exercises. Carla Huntley took s e c o n d place in vaulting and third place on the balanced beam. Lafaye Moore took third place in the floor exercise. At the Furman Invitational meet Carla Huntley placed sec ond on the balanced beam and Lafaye Moore took third place in floor exercises. Anyone interested in gymnas tics may practice with the team in Peabody gym on Mondays at 5:30 p.m. and on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. A gymnastics demonstration will be held April 16 at 8 p.m. in Peabody gym. The four wom en gymnasts, along with men gymnasts f r o ni Carolina will demonstrate the competition events of gymnastics. Proceeds will go to new uniforms and travel expenses. "I Yoga Handstand -D
