The University Theatre will pre
ient i's first play of the spring
emester Thursday night with the.
)erformance of "Under Milkwood"
)y Dylan Thomas.
Twenty-one USC students will
play 63 roles in the drama which
will be performed in Drayton
Hall at 8:15 p.m. The play will
also be held Friday and Satur
day night.
"Under Milkwood" was designed
,o give a moving account of a
;pring (lay in a small Welsh
,oastal town. It begins with
Ireams and ghosts before dawn,
mnovq* through the noisy (lay and!
:loses as the "rain of dusk brings
n the bawdy night."
The cast includes John B. Buf
rington, Jack Chandler, George
Cole, Jim Early, Terry Fricks,
Pinckney Greene, Stanley Hensley,i
Lowry Lindberg, Margo Malanos,
lob Saturn and Robin Sharpe.

Mary Lou Harris, a 19-year-old
University sophomore, has been
chosen Miss South Carolina State I
Parks for 1969.
Miss Harris, an English Educa
tion major, is an avid camper and
has enjoyed camping for more
than 12 years, visiting campsites
and parks in South Carolina,
North Carolina and Georgia.
She and her parents are mem
bers of the Palmetto Sandlappers
Camping Club and the Na' ional
Campers and Hikers Association.
Her first recollection of camp
ing goes back to a time when her
family set up a tent in Mt. Pisgah
National Forest more than a
decade ago. She said it rained for
four days.
Despite such setbacks, M iss
Harris and her family have en
joyed many camping trips since
then.
Miss Harris, who is from West
Columbia, will be on hand to greet
visitors to the 10th Annual Na
tional Campers and Hikers Con
