Speakers Black Week will continue tonight with a speech by Haskell George Ward. Ward, representating "Opera tions Crossroad, Africa," will speak! in Room 105 of Currell College. Thursday night Earle Thorpe, chairman of the history depart ment at North Carolina College, will speak on "Black Religion" at 7:30 in room 105 Currell. Black Week will end Friday afternoon when Walker E. Solo man, Sr., associate executive secre tary of the S. C. Educational As sociation, speaks on "Education and Its Impact Upon the Black Student" at 4:30 in room 207 of Russell House. ORIENTATION TESTS RESULTS The results of the Strong Voca tional Interest Blank are now available at the Counseling Bureau to all freshmen who participated in fall orientation. Freshmen are in vited to stop by the Counseling Bureau or call 777-4805 for an ap pointment to receive copies and an interpretation of their profiles. Freshmen who participated in the summer orientation are invited to make an appointment to discuss their interest profiles in greater detail. The results of the fresh men reading tests taken during summer and fall orientation are ready and will be mailed soon. He noted in a speech to a meet ing of the University Broadcasting Guild that some reporters are con stantly making major situations out of minor ones. "The news in dustry is growing up and has many new jobs, but there is no place for poorly staffed news organizations which rely on sensationalism," he said.
