Christopher at the Golden Spur
last weekend. The psychedelic
band from North Carolina played
to a substantial crowd Friday and
Saturday nights.
The Golden Spur has become a
popular source of entertainment
on campus, and will continue to I
bring in big-name bands through
out the year.
.On October 31, they will hold
a Halloween party, with music by
the Agents From Soul. Bonnie
and Clyde will be the theme, and i
prizes will be awarded to the besti

Last Tuesday, the first of a
series of informal student-faculty
drop-ins was held at Russell
House. Several members of the
faculty eame, and were on hand
for conversation on anything
they may have in common with
the students, or to settle any
questions in the students' mninds.
There will be similar drop-ins
held each Tuesday afternoon (2-4
p.m.) in 'the Russell House. Any
students or faculty members who
would be interested in attending
should be on hand next Tuesday
at 2 p.m. This is one of the best
opportunities to express your
ideas to your professors "off the
record."

I was sure sorry to hear about the N. C. State game
ast weekend, but at least the Gamecocks were well repre
ented. The Wolfpack knows that we have spirit! Of course,
he spirits were carried along, and the cheers that resulted
k-ere rather questionable . . . Repel them, repel them? Mr.
Vannamaker had better wait till after the game next time.
John from Chi Psi was telling us the other night about
m intellectual conference held in one of the local taphouses.
Xpparently Dean Cooper was contributing quite a bit to the
mimated and enlightening discussion. Just another ex
tmple of the exceptional relationship which exists between
he students and administration at Carolina!
Rumor has it that the Campus Police are equipped this
rear with special infra-red film for their cameras, so that
hey can photograph the windows of the women's dorms to

So there's going to be open house in the dorms next
veek-end. I understand that some of the women in Wade
lampton have quite a few surprises for any interested

There is quite a delegation of Gamecock supporters go
ng to the Maryland game this weekend. Wonder how many

Sigma Phi Ep's held a nice picnic last week at Sesqui

be the order of the day . . . and there was a general cheer
raised to State officials who have taken down the No Beer
signs in the park. Are you guys going into Poly Sci, or are
