Jones crowned the queen and Student Body Presi dent Sammy Drew presented the scepter, as approximately 450 persons looked on. This year's festivities had a Broadway theme. It marked the first time in a num ber of years the May Day program was con ducted separate from ODK Awards Day. The Concert and Oratorio choirs and the Symphonic Band entertained with a pro gram of songs from Broadway musicals. Twenty-three m hers of the Queen's Court Good Luck ON Exams! Colorful Trt Reigns participated in the Maypole dance. Included in Miss Oswald's court were maid of honor Anne Stephens and honor at tendant Ronni Capici. Scepter bearer was Allen Dale Johns, and crown bearer was Henry Lucius Laffits Jr. Charlotte Oswald Plyler and Sheri Lynn Sutton were flower girls. The USC Naval ROTC Drill Team was led by Midshipman Lt. John Michael Red deck of Clinton. Kappa Sigma Kappa honor service fra ternity sponsored the May Day ceremonies.
