My platform emphasizes the
role of Student Government in
its relationship to the student.
The time has come for Student
Government to relate effectively
to the individual students-to hear
their opinions, to solve their proh
lems, to react to their grievances,
to enforce their rights, and to re
spond to their wishes. In essence,
it's time that Student Govern
ment effectively represent, serve,
and leal the students of Carolina.
It's time for action; therefore, I
propose the following:
1. That polls and surveys be
used periodically to gain a cross
section of student opinion on mat
ters of student concern.
2. That student evaluation of
social, residence hall, academic
and other rules and regulations
be made so thant positive action
may be initiated to change
those which st udents find over
rest rictive or untreasonable.
:3. Tfhat Student Government
make continuous and direct ef
forts to imprl.-ment the "Studlent
