Pierret said that no partiality
was being exercised in service to
restaurant g u e s t s, whether stu
dents or faculty. "It is a treat for
students to come up here, and we
want no difference made in the
service they receive," he added.
USC student Richard Hines, the
first diner on opening night, said
he was most impressed by the
night view of Columbia. "The main
thoroughfares look very beautiful
and exciting. The restaurant decor
impressed me too, especially the
Carolina tapestry."
Diners also commented favorably
on the fresh roses at each table.
Opening night guest Al Lanier
of the Associated Press said, "I
am very much impressed. Those
fortunate enough to go to this res

take visitors. The food is excellent
and the prices reasonable."
Pierret said the restaurant will
soon expand its menu to include
dishes such as crepe suzettes, cher

ready being offered is a salad
