Carolina's expanded intramural
program entered its third week
with lots of football action among
competing squads.
Three new zones were added to
intramurals at the beginning of
the season. Two are located in Co
lumbia Hall and the Town Men's
Association comprises the third
new zone.
Tom Webb and Steve )earwent
are co-directors of the program.
It is from their office location in
University Terrace that games
are scheduled and referees receive
their assignments.
Independent scores this week
included Zone 15 forfeiting to
Zone 12; Zone 16 forfeiting to
Zone 3; Zone 1 over Zone 8, 22-14;
Zone 2 over Zone 20, 25-6; Zone
11 over Zone 6, 21-6.
Also, Zone 17 over Zone 7,
19-13; Zone 12 over Zone 19, 2-0;
Zone 16 forfeiting to Zone 20;
Zone 6 over Zone 9, 8-0.
Also, Zone 21 tying Zone 13,
0-0; Zone 18 over Zone 11, 12-0;
Zone 4 over Zone 3, 13-12; Zone
5 forfeiting to Zone 21; Zone 2
over Zone ti, 4-0; and Zone 11
over Zone :3, 20-6.
