M:dness was the theme of the
AWS sponsored parties for or
phans held Monday night.
The girl, have been preparing
their doors and costumes for days.
Decorations ranged from ghoulish
coconut heads to stuffed pumpkin
faces.
The children, 4-12, were from
the Columbia orphanages and
underprivileged areas. The dorms
provided transportation from the
Carolina and Epworth Children's
Homes for the 20 children as
signed to each dorm.
After treating each door, the
children met for refreshments and
entertainment downstairs. Girls'
dressed in costumes rangirg from
witches and ghouls to oriental
madmen and hags served them.
After refreshments, the chil
dren in South were amused by
Walt Disney Cartoons.
