Carolina Is...
the breath of twelve thousand students. It is
football games at night and Saturday classes, fighting
crowds in the post office and griping about Slater food,
trying to make Maxcy Monument move and getting a park
ing ticket if you're lucky enough to get a parking place. It
is blanket concerts and staying up all night to study, snow
fights in the winter and fraternity rush, upperclassmen
and freshmen, and victory. It is forgetting how many class
cuts you have taken and getting lost in McKissick Library.
It is a hamburger for breakfast, lunch, and supper and
Cliff notes and 8:00 classes. It is all the professors, and all
the students that listen to them and the ones that don't. It
is the Energy Center and McMasters. It is hating Clemson
and deciding on a major. It is beer. It is Don's and The
Four Seasons. It is alumni, buying books with worn-out
covers, and singing Dixie when Garnto has moved down
the field. It is telephones, frat pins, holes in shoes, skinnids,
and 70 when that's passing. It is the things that twelve
thousand students do.
