has selected Bobby Lee Bryant
as the athlete who has con
tributed the most to USC ath
letics this year.
He captained this year's foot.
ball team and was selected to
the All-Conference team as a
defensive back. lie was also se
lected to the New York News
and Detroit Times All-Anierica
squads.
The Sporting News ,picked him
on their All-America Second Team.
During the N. C. State foot
ball game "Bones," as he is
nicknamed, returned a punt 98
yards for a touchdown. The re
turn set a new conference record
and was one of the longest in
the nation this year.
Bryant has been the ace left
