Spring is a beginning . . . (ac
tually for Carolina students, it's
a glorious continuance of the bet
ter events of the seasons before).
Speaking of seasons (that was
bad!), would you believe three
standing ovations at the Four
Seasons Concert on Saturday
Night? As usual, the tinkling of
glass and the sound of draining
liquid could be heard, but only
just barely, above the tremendous
applause. The concert was really
a success, and we're anxious for
the Four Seasons to return.
On Friday evening, Carolina
students (lanced to the sounds of
the Kingsmen. And Carolina stu
dents' ears strained to hear the
words when the Kingsmen sang
"Louie, Louie."
Also on Friday night, Spring
Weekend got a real bang-up start
at the 0. K. Corral. Looks like
those boys are going in for the
Big-time.
The KA's, as usual, had a roar
ing party Saturday night. As well
as the great music of the Ap
preciations, r e a I entertainment
was provided by the dance team
of Britt & Bill doing the KA Alli
gator Slide. An historic first oc
curred. . . . Mike Ryan on his feet
at the midnight hour!
The Rapids seemed to be the
place to he this weekend to en
joy the beautiful weather. Repre
sentatives from every group in
the entire school and probably
other schools, were there, carrying
on an old school tradition. But
what was that shiny silver thing?
Speaking of the Rapids -- our
condolences to the SAE's for
blowing the ir game against the
Sigma Nu's. It seems that Pre

Congratulations are in order foi
the USC baseball team for their
tremendous victory over UNC.
Not everyone made use of the
recreation provided in Columbia
this weekend. Some hit the dusty
road for Augusta to be among the
spectators at the Masters Golf
Tournament, while others, like the
Phi Delts, played at the Aiken
Steeplechase.
BULLETIN . . . UFO sighted
from South Tower . . . place of

(Now who could be responsible
for that?).
One flying object has been
identified, however. It was an air
plane piloted repeatedly over the
sundecks of the women's dorms.
By the way, who were the am
bitious boys swimming in the new
reflection pool Friday night ?
All in all, it was a good week
end for playing, and play we did.
