Holy Suntan! It is quite ob vious that just about the whole school spent their vacation at the beach. Wasn't it the greatest? The Beach Club was swinging every night with the Showmen and then the Tams. And how about the riot at the Pad in O. D.? T. K. threw away his two cent bottle deposit only to discover it cost him ten dollars. All in all it was a real blow-out, and everyone came back to school with some terrific hangovers, in eluding my pet hamster, Tootsie, who is being brought up right on Rebel Yell. Just as things were quieting down from the beach, they picked up again with the Carolina Cup last weekend. Someone has said tha' there was a horse race. Can anyone verify that silly rumor? And then there was the ATO whose Jeep had so many people sitting on it that it ran into an other car, and all the fuzz said was that you can't see through people. You learn something new every day. Can someone please give the PiKA's lessons on how to open up a keg? Of course The Game cock had their reporters there, but even they can't remember all the activities of the day. Spring finds the hemlines of Carolina coeds going up-up-up in keeping with national trends. Where will they stop? Nobody knows, but most boys aren't com plaining. A warning to all Carolina Co eds. The Kappa Delta Awards for Orthopaedic Research for 1966 were made at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in San Francisco. Representing KD was the Province Alumnae Officer, Mrs. James E. Palmer of Newport Beach, California. The recipients of the Kappa Delta Awards of $1,000 each are selected by the Academy's Com mittee on Scientific Investigation.
