Knowlton of Colum bia is the new president of the University Educational Founda tion succeeding Jeff B. Bates who (lied recently. A founder of the Educational Foundation, Knowlton had been its vice president until his election to the presidency by the foundation's Board of Directors. WN i I I i a n S. Brockington of Greenwood was elected vice presi dent to succeed Knowlton, and Wil liam N. Bowen of Columbia was re elected secretary-treasurer. Both the directors of the Educa tional Foundation and the USC Alumni Assn. Council held meet ings at the University last week end.
