Harch O 0 Campaigi The March of Dimes campaign at USC gets underway tonight when brothers and pledges of Pi Tri-Epsilons Give Awards For Olympics Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon, the drop-out's answer to Phi Beta Kappa, recently held its Winter Olympics, the Tri-Ep trials, at brother Tom Timberlake's Lake Murray house. After several strenuous hours of athletic prowess, winners emerged in the following heats: Charles Hedgepath, bridge; Chip Cothran and Sheila Reardon, monopoly; Gail Broughton, scrabble; Sherrill Bullock, clue; Gene Bryson, stock market; and Martha Adams, "Oh,. Hell." The Early Bird Trophy went to Rachel Johnston and Jerry Johns ton. The campaign is the third of PiKA's service projects for this semester. The fraternity has also participated in the IFC United Fund Drive and the collection of over $450 for the Muscular Dys trophy Fund. According to John Dotterer, chairman of the campaign on campus, the fraternity feels that the March of Dimes drive is a fitting way to end their semester's projects. March of Dimes funds, before the Salk vaccine was developed, was primarily used in research for a cure for polio. Now, money col lected is used chiefly in studying the causes and prevention of crippling birth defects. McNulty, director of the Student Health Service, said the rapidly rising enrollment of the University made the services of a second full-time physician essential. During its recent rapid growth, the University has had the part-time services of Dr. S. Hunter Rentz, who will now devote full-time to his private practice. WESTMINSTER FELLOWSHIP elected their officers for the next semester on January 6, 1965. In this end it is logical for a business to cater as much as possible to the needs, wants and sometimes whims of the purchaser. This is true with one excep tion: the enterprise which feels little fear of competition due to location, monopoly on products or services and need. Filling each of these qualifica tions is the Campus Shop. Per haps these are the reasons for the generally shoddy treatment of their clientele, the student. It is certainly no excuse. With the possibility of doing the student real service, advan tage is taken of the alternative. Only a little more effort by the University (which controls the Campus Shop) and the student might feel less the general sen sation of apathy. By way of imprcvemnct, I suggest that to give the student a discount on their purchases might increase trade. Bringing back what is, I'm certain, a large number of disgruntled students.
