PLAYERS REHEARSE
The University Players have been hard at work on their
forthcoming production, a drama of the Old South. Truman
Henderson and Martha Nesbett have turned remnants, hand
me-downs, and Salvation Army donations into truly magnifi
cent costumes. The cast is working hard designing sets
and practicing three hours a day, realizing that the success
of this play means the success of the Players organization
and the chance of a much-needed drama department here
at the University. Perhaps Drayton Hall will be filled on
November 12 and 13, probably for the first time in history.
PIGSKIN PRArvILE
Another great gridiron year. Rumor has it that The
Citadel is complacent. Another rumor: even East Carolina
and Catawba are trying to schedule U.S.C.-something about
a break in the schedule between teams like W&L and New
berry. But Carolina men and women are full of spirit and
pep and are diligently piacticing their new yell; "TIE H EL
OUT OF STATE."
