Dr. Rogers is a native of Sor Carolina and was born in Char< ton. He graduated from the C lege of Charleston receiving I A.B. degree. Dr. Rogers received his M.A. a Ph.D. from the University Chicago. He was selected as F tary Fellow in 1949 by t Charleston Rotary Club, and studied for one year as Rota Fellow at the University of Edi burgh, Scotland. Before coming to USC in 191 Dr. Rogers taught at the Ui versity of Pennsylvania, Hunt College in New York City, a Emory University in Atlanta. This is a valuable quotation for some of those coeds who wouldn't dare wash that painstakingly teased hair regularly so as not to "mess it up." In fact, when "ratting" was mentioned to the men, the answer usually was "Ugh!" An other philosopher nays that beauty is in the mind - the girl's mind. Childish banter and sickening cliches don't swing this Socrates and probably quite a few others. Have a strong mind; it never hurts to be more intelligent than the boy you're dating (you can hide it), but don't ever be more dumb. Some boys say that dating a dumb girl makes the 12 o'clock chime sound wonderful. Could be. Points To Remember in this collection of stars and philosophies, we hope to bring you these few points about "boy-bait ing": DON'T overdo the make-up. This is so often done, and more often disgusting. DO exercise your mind while on a date. Most guys get very tired of playing silly games like "Who do you know?" DO be natural. Be yourself.
