For the benefit of all unobserv

hereby presents an outline of
what IS being worn by the EN

This report is presented as a
public service to prevent any ac

serve eternally the stereotype stu

of an already grey day. Raincoats
may be black too . . . that's ac- I
ceptable; however, even a glance
will reveal that just EVERY
BODY wears oyster white London
Fogs.
Next step down from the um
brellas is hats, but no one wears
even rat hats after the first (lay
of registration. So for the time
being you can file the leopard
skin pillbox away in your hope
chest.
As for hair, well boys can take
some leeway, since there's gen
erally not enough there for much
deviation, anyway. Girls are re
quired to comb theirs into an in
verted pageboy, landing exactly
%" off their neck. It may be any
or every color though.
In the shirt department USC
has most specific rules. Boys are
allowed either long or short
sleeves; girls must wear roll-up.
Boys must have button-down col
lars. Girls may have these, or
Peter Pan or even collarless. (Gen
erous choice.) Colors are bur
gundy, yellow, bottle green (de
cide your own bottle), navy or
hose shades in madras or pin
stripes. Vertical pinstripes. This
is to distinguish us from those
individuals in those institutions
which require said individuals to
wear horizontal thick black and
white stripes; . . . and serial num
bers.
Skirts may be ANY style, just
so long as it ends up A-shape
Wrap around, pleats, as long as
it starts straight and ends full.

Oh summer, how you've been so dull
From studies, an unwelcomed lull.
Now forthwith are those manv
charms
Held up high in autumn's arms.
Those joyous days with profs so dear
Oh my god, I'm glad you're here;
I am so filled with anticipation
Of glorious lines of registration.
It was so bad to spend my money
On boring evenings with my honey,
I know I won't he among the shnooks
As gaily I purchase all my books.
Classes full of life, so thrilling,
And Davis Field with Air Force
drilling.
I am so anxious for you hioth
Just what I need to prove my worth.
While football Is a dleviation
rhat on occasion gets attention.
The students regimented files
Do so much to hinder smiles.
If by now it's that you're tired,
I'll admit I have been hired
And say, that my best I tried.
Whatever makes you think Ii. .. .

r'he idea is to make all the girls

Socks, boys, must match your
3hirt or sweater. You can pur
:hase some inexpensive dye to co

>ld white socks Chances are they
xren't white anymore, anyway. If
you have a light gray sweater
ou've got it made.
Speaking of sweaters, we em
phatically recommend that you
rush right out and sew suede
patches on all the sleeves, under
ill the button holes, and while
you're at it throw a few suede
pockets on your wrap - a r'und
