people of developing nations are

basic purpose of which is the pro
motion of international under
standing through education. To
provide common ground for con
sidering the needs of developing
nations, the courses give much con
sideration to the development of
Scandinavian democracy and es
pecially the role of the folk high
schools and cooperatives in aiding
that development. The task which
these institutions so successfully
performed of bringing the Scan
dinavian people from fuedal illi
teracy to enlightened self-help and
responsible citizenship closely re
sembles the task confronting de
veloping countries today, Mr.

"Town Workers and Farmers in
the Indian Planned Economy";
Rev. Reginald Sorenson, M. P.,
England, on "Religions and World
Peace." Other lecturers will be
Scandinavian loaders and people
of standing in other countries. All
courses are given in English.
